Kathryn Henshaw & Faith Daniels (Opening Cacao Ceremony)

Kathryn Henshaw and Faith Daniels work as a pair, and most of what they do is built around a single idea: helping people feel more connected to a steadier, clearer version of themselves. They work together under the banner of Light Kodes Healings, and across both days at the Guildhall in September you will find them running ceremonies, taster workshops and one-to-one sessions.

The two of them channel what they call light language and facilitate light-coded healing, alongside chakra alignment, energy clearing and auric field cleansing. It sounds like a lot of terms at once, so it is worth taking them one at a time.

The Gateway to Your Higher Self

Their best-known work is the Gateway to Your Higher Self, which they run at the weekend as a mini taster version of the longer ceremony. The name points at what it is for: a guided experience meant to help you feel more aligned with your own sense of purpose and direction. It is not a lecture and there is nothing to revise beforehand. You are led through it, and the work happens as you follow along.

The taster format is deliberately gentle. It gives you a real sense of how Kathryn and Faith work without asking you to commit to anything longer, which makes it a sensible first step if you are curious but unsure.

Light-coded healing, in plain terms

Light-coded healing, light language, chakra alignment and auric field cleansing are the tools they work with. Stripped of the terminology, these are all approaches to energy work: practices designed to help you feel cleared, settled and less weighed down. Kathryn and Faith use guided visualisations, sound and intuitive practices to lead you through it, so your part is mostly to rest and receive.

The cacao ceremony

They also open with a cacao ceremony, run with the Full Power Cacao team. Ceremonial cacao is simply a warm drink made from cacao, taken slowly and with intention as a way of settling a group and marking the start of something. There is nothing intoxicating about it. The ceremony is a gentle, communal way to arrive, quiet the noise a little, and get present before the deeper work begins.

This kind of work tends to suit people who are curious about spiritual practice and want to feel it rather than read about it. Some come during a period of change and want a moment of clarity; some are simply drawn to the calm of a guided ceremony. You do not need any experience, and you do not need to arrive believing anything in particular to take part.

Something to try this week

You can borrow the cacao ceremony’s core idea without any of the ritual. Once this week, make your usual warm drink, then sit with it and do nothing else for the length of time it takes to finish it. No phone, no screen, no scrolling. Treat it as a small, deliberate pause rather than something to rush through. Marking a moment as intentional, however ordinary, is the same simple move their ceremonies build on.
