Some stalls you visit for a reading or a treatment. Sunshine Healing is one you visit to browse, handle and choose. Run by Michelle Bell from Sandbach in Cheshire, it brings crystals, gemstones and metaphysical tools to the Guildhall in September, laid out for people to look through at their own pace.
What you’ll find at the stand
The heart of Sunshine Healing is crystals and gemstones, alongside the metaphysical tools that tend to go with them. It is the kind of stall that rewards a slow look. Some people arrive knowing exactly what they are after, a particular stone they have read about or want to replace. Others simply pick things up, notice what draws their eye, and go from there. Both are perfectly good ways to browse, and Michelle is on hand to answer questions rather than push a sale.
Choosing a crystal
If you have never bought a crystal before, there is less to it than you might think. You do not need to memorise a chart. Handle a few, notice which ones you keep coming back to, and ask what a stone is if you are curious. A lot of the value is simply in choosing something deliberately and keeping it somewhere you will see it, as a small, physical reminder of an intention you have set.
It is worth being honest about what crystals are and are not. They are offered here for interest, focus and a sense of calm, not as a medical treatment and not as a replacement for one. Taken in that spirit, they are one of the gentlest and most tactile things to explore at the weekend.
Something to try this week
You can borrow the useful part of working with a crystal using anything small you already own, a pebble, a coin, a bead. Once this week, pick one object, decide on a single simple intention for the day, and carry it in a pocket. Each time your hand finds it, let it prompt one slow breath and a moment to remember what you chose. The object is not doing the work; the small, repeated pause is. That is the same habit a chosen crystal is really there to support.
Sunshine Healing is one of over 70 readers, healers and stallholders at the Mind Body Spirit & Wellness Weekend, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September 2026, at Stockport Masonic Guildhall. The stall is free to browse, like every stand across the weekend, with anything you choose available to buy on the day.
